Visa Interview - Interview time at US Embassy Dhaka

NVC complete my case on the 3rd week of March and my PD will current on May.

Questions:
1. What is the average timeline between case completion at NVC and interview date at Dhaka embassy? what would possibly be my interview date at US Embassy Dhaka? June or July or ????
2. Who will schedule interview…NVC or Dhaka embassy?

Thanks !!

The US Embassy in Dhaka will schedule your interview once your PD becomes current.

This is the timeline for my brother's case. Yours might be similar.

PD became current in the Sept. 2009 Visa Bulletin. Received interview letter in Oct. 2009 (about 4 weeks after PD became current). Interview at the end of Nov. 2009 (about 8 weeks after interview letter). Received visa in Dec. 2009.

This is what I got from NVC:

*** For immigrant visa cases assigned to an Appointment Post, the NVC will collect the fees, affidavit of support, civil documents, and police certificates, as required. When a case is complete, it will be scheduled an appointment for an interview with a consular officer. For all Appointment Posts (except, the Consulate General in Guangzhou, China) the NVC will send an appointment letter to all interested parties (applicant, petitioner, and agent/attorney of record, if applicable) notifying them of the date, time, and location of the interview; and forward the petition to the appropriate embassy/consulate. The Consulate General in Guangzhou, China will send appointment letters for cases assigned to it. ****

That means NVC will schedule interview first; then forward the petition to Dhaka.
